NOTICE OF CHANGE IN MEETING SCHEDULE
FOR SEPTEMBER TO DECEMBER 2019
REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF BETHLEHEM
At its rescheduled July 2019 meeting, the Redevelopment Authority Board authorized a change in meeting dates for the remainder of 2019. As a result, beginning in September 2019, the Redevelopment Authority Board will meet at 3:00 PM on the fourth (4th) Thursday of each month in City Hall Room A-205. This meeting room is located on the 2nd floor of the Public Safety Building at Bethlehem City Hall, 10 East Church Street, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Any special, rescheduled or additional meetings will be publicly advertised, as required.

The Redevelopment Authority of the City of Bethlehem (RDA) is a state incorporated redevelopment authority located in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The RDA was created in 1953 as a government agency with the powers vested by Pennsylvania Redevelopment Authority law.
While many of its functions are targeted toward meeting the national objectives of blight removal, the RDA has a strong relationship working with the City of Bethlehem. The RDA is an integral part of the City's blight remediation program, as well as provide support for a first-time home-buyer program and other government services to improve our Bethlehem community.
Since 2000, the RDA has also been actively involved with the redevelopment of the former Bethlehem Steel site. The Tax Incremental Financing (TIF) District, spearheaded by the RDA in cooperation with the Bethlehem Area School District, City of Bethlehem and County of Northampton taxing bodies, has been instrumental with the progress made at redeveloping the largest brownfield site in the United States. Through the creation of this TIF District great improvements have been made, and continue to be made, at this former industrial site as it has been transformed into a true destination site.
